Unit 03 - Comparative Expressions & Dialogue

1. You're pretty good for a beginner.
   • 초보자치고는 꽤 잘하네.
2. She looks really good for her age.
   • 그녀는 나이에 비해 진짜 젊어 보여.
3. For a weekday, it was pretty crowded.
   • 평일치고는 사람이 꽤 많았어.

대화 예시: 유기견 구조

A: Where did you find her?

• 어디서 찾은 거예요?

B: In a parking lot. She was hiding under a car. So, how does she look?

• 주차장에서요. 차 밑에 숨어 있었어요. 상태는 좀 어떤 것 같아요?

A: Well, for a stray, she looks to be in fairly good condition. I'd put her somewhere around 4 months old.

• 음, 유기견치고는 상태가 꽤 좋은 것 같아요. 4개월 정도 된 것으로 추정되네요.

B: Really? She's kind of small for a 4 month old, right?

• 그래요? 4개월치고는 좀 작은 것 같은데, 그렇죠?

A: I guess you could say that. Do you own any other dogs?

• 그렇다고 할 수도 있죠. 다른 개도 키우세요?

B: No, I don't.

• 아니요.

A: Really? For someone who doesn't own a dog, you seem to be quite comfortable handling her.

• 정말요? 개를 안 키우는 분치고는 꽤 잘 다루시는 것 같은데요.

B: I have a lot of friends who do.

• 키우는 친구들이 많아요.

A: That's good.

• 잘 됐네요.
